White, John R.


John R White, PhD, LPC and Jungian Diplomate is both a psychoanalyst and a licensed professional counselor. Prior to becoming a mental health professional, he spent twenty years as a philosophy professor, teaching in both Europe and the United States. Later, he obtained his Master’s degree in mental health counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville. He also trained as a psychoanalyst, first at the C G Jung Analytic Training Program in Pittsburgh and then in the Interregional Society of Jungian Analysts. John is currently an analyst member of the Interregional Society of Jungian Analysts and an associate member of the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis.

John’s orientation is primarily Jungian and psychodynamic and he works out of both traditional and more contemporary forms of analytic psychotherapy. He has worked at the Pittsburgh Pastoral Institute since 2010.
