Nancy is an Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory endorsement in Ohio, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA, and has earned an MA in Community Counseling, as well as an MS in Management.
Nancy's educational background includes a BA in Political Science from Middlebury College, as well as an MS in Management from the University of South Florida. She has also earned an MA in Community Counseling from John Carroll University
Nancy has had experience working in multiple professional environments including home based family preservation and private practice. She has acted as Director of Partial Hospitalization in adolescent residential treatment in school based programs. She has supervision endorsement in Ohio and has supervised numerous candidates to their Independent Licenses.
Nancy believes talk therapy needs to be practical, focused on gaining insights, reprogramming life assumptions about how a person gets their needs met, developing practical strategies to respond differently to life situations. Her approach is solution focused and she believes good work can be done in six months or less.
Nancy has trained as family therapist, and has worked extensively in individual, couples and family counseling. She has experience as a parenting specialist, and specialized training in Reactive Attachment Disorder.
